America is preparing for its 250^th birthday on July 4, 2026.

The Court is celebrating the semiquincentennial with a year-long celebration called “The Story of America" highlighting significant historical events. Beyond digital content, the celebration will include events and displays at the Court. The initiative aims to spark curiosity, enhance civic literacy, and honor key moments in American and Ohio history.

On July 17, 1955, Disneyland opens in Anaheim, California. | In 1821, Spain officially transfers Florida to the United States. | In 1941, Joe DiMaggio’s hitting streak of 56 consecutive games came to an end in the Yankees vs. Indians game at Cleveland Stadium.
