Applications are due to be submitted online no later than Feb. 28, 2025 at 5 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted. The online application shuts down promptly at 5 p.m. to prevent late submissions so be sure to start early and submit an application before the deadline if you are interested in this funding opportunity.

No, the application must be completed in its entirety and cannot be saved for later. We recommend that the application is started outside of the web page and then filled out online when it is ready to be submitted. You may use the application example document as needed to reference the application requirements.

You may choose to apply for either e-filing implementation or a new or major case management system upgrade. You may submit one application for one of the project type priorities in this cycle.

Yes. The character limit is 2000 characters including spaces, periods, commas, etc.

There is not a specific format required, that is up to the applicant to decide on how they want to write the application. You may consider reviewing the evaluation criteria when writing the narratives as that will provide context on how this part of the application will be scored. While there is a character limit for these fields, just a couple of sentences usually is not enough to result in a high score during peer-review.

This is because something is missing or entered incorrectly. If you click a box then click away from it, it will highlight red because it thinks you missed entering information into that box. Additionally, some of the fields are restricted on what can be entered. For instance, the phone number, FEIN, and amount fields do not allow letters. The maximum amount to apply for is $150,000.00 and if a higher amount is entered, that will result in a red outline. When you go to submit the application, any missing fields will highlight red.

The field will say “File Attached!” when the quote is attached to the application. Before the quote is attached, this field will say “Select File.”

If you have multiple quotes, you will need to combine them into one PDF as you are only able to attach one file. Please note that the quotes must be from the vendor and include the vendor information on them. Links to the items or a simple list of items without the vendor information will not be accepted as valid quotes. The total amount must match the amount requested in the application.

We anticipate that awards will be announced in mid to late May 2025.

Yes, all applicants will be notified if they have been awarded or not. Please be sure that the email address included in the application is correct as that will be the email used to notify the applicants.

No, this grant is funded with state general revenue funds.

Yes! You may still peer-review applications even if you submit an application. Peer-reviewers will not be assigned applications from the county their court is located in or any neighboring counties. If you are interested in reviewing and scoring applications, please email grants@sc.ohio.gov. There is a document on our grants webpage that includes more information about the review process.
